Research "Application of Standardized Rosa damascena Stem Cell-Derived Exosomes in Dermatological Wound Healing and Scar Management” was a retrospective case series and included patients with various types of skin damage – from acute wounds after fresh surgical procedures, through mechanical injuries and burns, to fixed scars, including hypertrophic and atrophic scars. 

In some patients, ASCEplus exosome therapy was initiated immediately after wound closure, allowing for the evaluation of the impact of early intervention on the healing process. In other cases, exosomes were applied to scars that had been present for several months or years to assess their ability to remodel scar tissue.

Analysis of the results showed that the best results were obtained with early implementation of therapy – Wounds healed faster, with reduced inflammation and a reduced risk of excessive connective tissue growth. Scars resulting from this treatment were more elastic, less visible, and better matched in color to the surrounding skin. In older scars, a reduction in their thickness, a smoother surface, and improved skin mobility within the lesion were observed.

accelerated epithelialization, shortening the time from damage to full epidermal coverage,

reduces redness and swelling, which limited inflammation in the acute phase,

improves skin elasticity and structure, supporting collagen reconstruction,

shortened the time to obtain flat scarsj, well integrated with the surroundings.

The study authors emphasized that standardized ASCEplus exosomes may be a valuable complement to dermatological and surgical therapies, especially in the prevention of hypertrophic scars and in improving the quality of existing scars.
